Myers Fine Art & Antiques Auction Gallery was established by owner Michael Myers in 1970 and offers fresh-to-the-market fine art and antiques from estates throughout Florida, New England and New York.
Michael is well known for his professionalism, integrity and friendly manner. Mary Dowd, Michael’s wife and partner since 1986, shares his passion and brings a background in fine arts to the business.
Myers has conducted Annual Benefit Auctions for the St. Petersburg Museum Of Fine Arts, as well as Gala Benefit Auctions for Saint Petersburg’s Morean Arts Center. In addition, Myers handled the private estates of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Douglas Moore and NY abstract expressionist painter David Porter. The gallery’s international clientele includes museums, businesses and individuals.
Specialty auctions are conducted in a spacious, skylighted building located near the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, home to The Dali Museum and The Museum of Fine Arts. The near 10,000 square-foot 1940′s Art Deco building was specifically designed for auctions and functions with clockwork efficiency, from registration to check-out. All fine art and antiques are assigned to specialized sales that include Americana; European & Asian; 20th Century Decorative Arts – Art Nouveau, Art Deco & Mid-Century Modern; 19th & 20th Century American & European Paintings; Jewelry and more. Auctions are effectively promoted online via social media and the premier auction platforms. Marketing promotions also include local and regional newspapers; national and international trade publications; direct mail and email.
All forms of bidding are available, including live in the gallery, absentee, phone and live via the Internet.
